On Saturday, March 11, 2017 De La Salle college hosted the 4th Student Public Speaking Meeting in French, "Conseil des Jeunes Citoyens". Thirteen students of the Schools participated in the events of impromptu speaking and debate, and ranked in the following places:
Debate (Jeune Citoyen award 2017):
- 1st Place V. Triantafyllou (10th Grade - thematic unit: Culture)
- 1st Place C. Chorinos (9th Grade - thematic unit: Ecology)
- 1st Place S. Zisis (8th Grade - thematic unit: Citizenship)
Debate (Prix de Mérite Award 2017)
- 3rd Place C. - A .Efstathiou (9th Grade - thematic unit: Citizenship)
11th Grade student M. Mertzimeki, who won last year, participated as a mentor and judge in the finals.
The meeting was attended by private schools from Thessaloniki and Athens such as the Arsakeio Thessaloniki Senior High School, the Greek-French school Saint Paul, De La Salle College, the Ionian School, Leontio Senior High Schools of Nea Smyrni and Patisia, the Greek-French Ursuline School and foreign language center ROZI.
