On Sunday, March 12th students M. Triantafyllidis (8th Grade) and M. Batzoli (7th Grade) both won the gold medal in their categories at the 16th Open Individual Chess Championship for students of the Educational Region of Eastern Thessaloniki, held on the premises of Vasiliadis Schools.
The students above, along with A. Davideanu (8th Grade) and A. – T. Billas (9th Grade) who also competed in the same championship and ranked 9th and 5th respectively in their categories, are entitled to participate in the 16th Individual Chess Championship for students of the prefectures of Thessaloniki and Halkidiki, which constitutes the final phase of Individual Student Chess Championships and will be held on the 18th and 19th of March, 2017.
