Every year our students particularly enjoy the thematic unit “Olympic Games”. The Blossoms acquired a hands on experience of these wonderful games by visiting the Olympic museum. We took part in an educational program based on the Ancient and modern Olympic Games, which is titled ”Move in Rhythm, Move in an Olympic Manner”.
Our students were taught the main idea behind the Olympics; competing is not only about winning and learned that people from all over the world come together and international bonds/friendships are created. This message was conveyed through role playing and artistic endeavors. We were shown exhibits such as medals, wreaths and sportswear of Greek Olympic medal winners, took part in our own inauguration ceremony and held our own Olympic Games.
