WELCOME TO THE 52ND PANHELLENIC FORENSICS ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT 2024!!

This year’s tournament is hosted by Mandoulides Schools in Thessaloniki, under the auspices and support of the PFA,  in April. The Tournament started 52 years ago. 

You are most welcome to attend and enjoy a tournament full of Debate, Group Discussion, Impromptu Speaking , Original Oratory, Oral Interpretation of Literature and Duet Acting. 

It is all about a tournament characterized by fair play, commitment to team work and great enthusiasm! 

This year about 450 high school students from foreign and Greek private and public schools in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patra , and Larisa will participate. 

More than 100 volunteers and  about 100 judges are going to participate in the tournament as well, thus making it an unforgettable event, an event students will cherish for the years to come!

• Head Coaches’ Meeting (in person): Saturday, 6th April, 13:00 – 14:30 (Judges’ Room 2)

Judges’ registration 

 

  • You can submit only ONE registration form per judge, filling all mandatory fields, as well as their level of experience per event. Head Coaches should print and keep a copy of each registration form for their records, and the Judge will receive an automated confirmation of the form submitted. 

 

  • Please be reminded that all School Head Coaches should do their best to ensure that their school judge(s) are registered and available to judge all events which their students are participating in. Specifically: for Oratory, Group Discussion and Impromptu, each school needs to register one judge per 3 students; for Duet Acting and Oral Interpretation, one judge per 4 students; for Debate, one judge per team.

 

  • The Sweepstakes Judges’ Briefing will take place on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, 18:00- 20:30 via Zoom. The link will be sent to all registered judges closer to that date. While this Briefing is not mandatory for experienced judges, it should be attended by all judges who are new to PFAT, and of course experienced judges are welcome to refresh their in- person judging skills!

 

  • Debate Judges will be sent a judging test after the end of the Judge Registration period, which will need to be submitted before the tournament (deadline TBC). Debate judges who did not complete the test in the last two years will be required to complete the test in order to be eligible to judge. Please make sure ALL your Debate Judges have gone through the Debate Judges testing procedure, regardless of experience, if they did not take the test in the last two years.
