26th International Informatics Olympiad

Student G. Venizelos (10th grade), after participating in the preparation Camp for the 26th National Competition of Informatics held in Athens from April 7th to 11th 2014, was chosen as a member of the National Informatics Team 2014. Student R. Ketsetsidis (10th grade) was chosen as an alternate. The National Informatics Team represents Greece in the 26th International Informatics Olympiad held in Taiwan from 13th to the 20th of July 2014, and the Balkan Informatics Olympiad 2014. Using the same process, the selection of the National Informatics Team 2014 (Juniors) took place, in which students K. Stefanidis and C. Karathodoros (9th grade) were chosen, while student T. Haris (9th grade) was selected as an alternate. The Balkan Olympiad of Informatics 2014 will be held in Belgrade, Serbia from the 23th to the 28th of June 2014.

History of distinctions
Georgios Venizelos (10th grade student) received the bronze medal in the Junior Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (JBOI 2013), which took place in Shumen, Bulgaria from November 22nd until the 24th. What is more, the same student received the bronze medal in the international competition “International Tournament in Informatics” which is organized each year in Shumen, Bulgaria, with Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldavia, FYROM, Serbia and Greece as participating countries.  In the Panhellenic Informatics Competition for the school year 2012 - 2013, Mandoulides Schools’ students R. Ketsetsidis and G. Venizelos ranked 1st and 4th respectively in the Junior category (Junior High School students) and comprised 2 of the 4 members of the Junior National team that represented Greece in the Junior Balkan Olympiad in Informatics.
