Students Awarded by the Deputy Minister of Education and Religion

On Wednesday, October 8th, 2014, the Deputy Minister of Education and Religion Alexandros Dermentzopoulos awarded the National Junior and Senior Informatics teams that represented Greece in the International and Balkan Olympiad in Informatics 2014. The National Informatics Team 2014 for Senior High School students was made up of four students, out of which one, G. Venizelos, is a student of Mandoulides Schools.

The 10th grade student, G. Venizelos, after participating in the 26th National Informatics Contest, held in Athens in April 2014, was chosen to staff the National Informatics Team of 2014 and represented Greece:
o    In the 26th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), held in Taiwan in July 2014
o    In the 22nd Balkan Conference in Informatics 2014 (BCI), which was held in Ankara in August 2014 and won the bronze medal
o    In the Junior Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (JBOI 2013), held in the city of Shumen, Bulgaria in November 2013.

Mandoulides Schools’ C. Karathodoros (9th grade) and K. Stefanidis (9th grade), after the 26th National Informatics Contest, which took place in Athens in April 2014, were selected to staff the 4-member Junior National Informatics Team 2014 and represented Greece in the Balkan Informatics Olympiad 2014, held in Belgrade in June 2014.
