Yale Model Government Europe Conference (YMGE)

A team of 13 students of the Junior - Senior High School participated in the 4th Conference of European Governance organized by Yale University, and held in Budapest. The conference simulates the work of the European Parliament, NATO, and the parliaments of many European countries. The theme of this year's event was the energy crisis (Tapped Out: The Growing Energy Crisis) and organizers, through potential crisis scenarios involving terrorist activities and intense confrontations between countries, implicated participants in a cycle of diplomatic negotiations to solve the problems.

The conference was attended by schools from Europe and America, with the number of attendees exceeding 300. Within the framework of the events, the students of Mandoulides Schools toured the city, visited the Hungarian Parliament and places of cultural interest. During their preparation, they participated in a teleconference with Andrew Machirant, adviser on energy to the Swedish government and the European Commission.
