A team of 12 students from Mandoulides Junior High School took part in the 9th Hisar Junior Model United Nations Conference organized by the American Hisar School in Istanbul, Turkey. Α. Κourti, student of 2nd Junior High School was chosen as the "Best Delegate" in her committee. The student conference is a simulation of United Nations meetings.
The main theme of the conference was "Protecting Human Rights," and our students represented the South American country of Colombia. The committees of the students analyzed topics referring to "urban, gender and welfare affairs," "health and environmental issues," and "military and disarmament affairs."
