Mandoulides Schools’ students, continuing the tradition of receiving distinctions in Astronomy and Space competitions, conquered the top once again! On Saturday, March 14th, 2015, our students took part in the final phase of the 20th Panhellenic Student Astronomy Competition “Ipparchos,” which involved junior and senior high school students from all over Greece. In the junior high school competition, our 9th grade student, R. Tsiamis, ranked first, while in the respective contest for senior high schools our 11th grade student, G. Papachatzakis, won second place and the opportunity to visit NASA’s facilities in Huntsville, Alabama, U.S. for a period of seven days this July. Moreover, the 11th grade student will claim a position in the National Astronomy Team through his participation in the 4th stage of the competition “Ptolemaios,” to be held in the auditorium of the Economics Department of the University of Thessaly, Volos on April 4th - 5th 2015. We congratulate our students for their great performance and distinctions.
