Odysseas Elytis: The Poet of the Aegean

Zografeio Lykeio of Istanbul and Mandoulides Schools of Thessaloniki invite you to the International Student Conference on “Odysseas Elytis: The Poet of the Aegean,” to be held at Mandoulides Schools in Thessaloniki March 30th - April 3rd 2016, organized by Zografeio Lykeio and Mandoulides Schools, under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. This is the 5th such International Student Conference. Previous ones were dedicated to Alexandros Papadiamantis, C. P. Cavafy, G. Seferis, and G. Vizyenos, and were held with the participation of 250 students and teachers from schools in Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Turkey, and the United States, joined by prominent figures in literature and the arts. The 2016 International Student Conference is aimed at senior high school students and is devoted to the life and work of this Nobel laureate Greek poet.
