Mandoulides Coding Girls, 11/02/2017

As part of Educational Program Art & Science Days, this year the Schools are holding the innovative Mandoulides Coding Girls program.

The program will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 on the Junior / Senior High School premises and will run from 10:00 to 13:00. It is aimed at students of 4th to 9th Grade from all the schools of the city and it is FREE of charge.

Coding Girls, a unique educational program that aims to inspire all girls to channel their creativity digitally by learning to program, design and direct interactive 3D stories and impressive games.

  • The students will have the opportunity to be inspired by watching successful stories of women in the field of information technology and programming.
  • They will be introduced to algorithmic thinking and to programming logic using the programming environment Alice3D of Carnegie Mellon University.
  • The program will allow them to create virtual 3D worlds, to program and direct interactive 3D stories and to design impressive computer games with Microsoft Kodu.

Parents will be responsible for students’ transportation to and from the Schools.
