Mandoulides Schools Teacher represents Greece at Microsoft Education Exchange E2

Ms. Maria Papadopoulou, a teacher at Mandoulides Elementary, represented our country at Education Exchange E2, an annual conference organized by Microsoft. She attended the works and participated in an international group of teachers with whom she collaborated to prepare a lesson plan on immigration. She presented her project entitled "Let's Get to Know us Better", which was about the recognition and expression of emotions as well as the strengthening of social skills such as empathy, acceptance of diversity, respect and solidarity.

During the conference, she had the opportunity to meet and talk with Vice President of Worldwide Education at Microsoft, Anthony Salcito, presenting the project she had prepared and applied with her students and its results, and then they discussed everything we do on a daily basis at Mandoulides Schools (a Microsoft Showcase School) to enhance students' creativity and curiosity by incorporating technology into the teaching process.

Finally, she met with Mrs. Eva Psalti, Microsoft Global Director for Education Audience Strategy, with whom they shared their concerns about the future in education. Education Exchange E2 2018 was held in Singapore from Tuesday, March 13 to Thursday, March 15.

The conference is organized on an annual basis by Microsoft to highlight the achievements of teachers who manage to exemplify pedagogical teaching methods and the use of technology in their classes so as to prepare their students for the 21st century. 300 of the most innovative teachers from around the world are invited to participate in the conference every year in order to collaborate, create, share their experiences and transform education.
