The innovative program of introduction to Programming and Algorithmic Thinking, “Mandoulides Junior CodeWeek 2018”, was completed on Thursday, 25 October, 2018. It took place at the IT Lab and the Digital Classroom of Mandoulides Schools, and was attended by all the students of Elementary School.
During the first week, 15 - 19 October, 2018, the students of 1st – 4th Grade experienced Programming through fun activities. The students of 5th Grade came into contact with Robotics while the students of 6th Grade were taught the JavaScript programming language. In addition, the students of 6th Grade practised JavaScript on the Silent Teacher platform, which is based on Adaptive Learning, where the level of difficulty of the questions is adapted according to each student’s knowledge.
Due to the great interest in programming shown by students of all grades, the “EU Code Week” was given an extension for the week of 22 - 25 October, 2018.
