Mandoulides Schools teacher Aikaterini Symeonidou presented the haptic book that she created during the closing ceremony of the 3rd Summer Camp “Betty's eye” at the Center for Education and Rehabilitation for the Blind, Thessaloniki branch.
The presentation was held upon invitation on Saturday, 29 June on the occasion of the European program “Europe, our common home”. The book is based on the material taught to students during the program and on their own work. It is written in Braille and all the pictures are haptic. Students, teachers, parents and guests participated in a lively discussion on organizing and setting up such projects for visually impaired students. Student of 4th Grade Ch. Boutari took part in the presentation and described her experience with the book.
The presentation ended with a warm applause from the audience in an emotional atmosphere.
