As part of the pioneering program “People who Changed the World”, the students of Pre-K come into contact with prominent figures in the modern history of humankind. Among leaders, doctors, humanitarians, artists and inventors, there are also many athletes who, with their courage, perseverance, and mental and physical strength, took the world one step further and received acceptance and recognition.

So, on the occasion of the aforementioned innovative program, our little students visited the Olympic Museum of Thessaloniki, where they attended the educational program “Modern Olympics”.

The children asked and received answers to such questions as:

What Olympic torch looks like a Samurai sword? Which torch relay followed the itinerary of the Columbus trip? Which mascot tells us folk tales? Will there be robots at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics?

The interdisciplinary approach of the Museum's collection revealed several aspects of world history and inspired children with the sporting ethos of Olympic winners.
