Documentary “A Beautiful Planet”
The students of Kindergarten and Beatles watched the documentary “A Beautiful Planet” on Imax 3D at the Cineplexx theater, One Salonica mall.
This is a 48-minute film co-produced by IMAX Entertainment and NASA, which impressed and at the same time educated students.
The children got to know our planet better, they were amazed by the magnificent view of the Earth from space, they recognized the value of life on this beautiful planet, realized the need for its preservation and became aware of issues related to the protection of the natural environment.
The documentary presents a breathtaking view of the Earth through footage that was partly designed and shot by the astronauts on board the ISS itself. Using advanced visualization based on astronomical data from the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, the film envisions the future of humanity in a hopeful way.
