Mandoulides Schools graduate receives 2020 David Mumford Prize

Filippos - Ilarion Sytilidis ’16 is the recipient of the 2020 David Mumford Undergraduate Prize of Harvard University.

The David Mumford Prize is presented annually to the most promising Harvard undergraduate in Mathematics with an outstanding performance. This year the award is shared by 3 undergraduate students, one of whom is a graduate of the Schools.

Filippos has completed his degree studies at Harvard University, where he studied on a full scholarship for 4 years. He had attended the Studies Abroad program at Mandoulides Schools and was accepted into Harvard University, Dartmouth College, Princeton University (USA) and the University of Cambridge (UK). At the same time, Filippos succeeded in entering the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

He is currently preparing for his doctoral studies at the DPhil in Mathematics program of Oxford University for 4 years.
