Distinction in International Music Competition
Student of 7th Grade Thanos Kyparos won the 3rd prize in the “Muse International Music Competition”, in category C (12 - 14 years old), violin. Talented musicians from 35 countries took part in the competition and the results were announced on 22 June, 2020.
The “Muse International Music Competition” has been running since 2002 and in 2014 a new online format with video recordings was introduced. During these 19 years, more than 2,500 musicians from 93 countries and 4 continents have taken part.
It is worth noting that this is Thanos’s second major international award as, in February 2020, he won the 1st prize in the “Paris Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition” (category 9 - 12 years old) and was selected to participate as a violin soloist in the Award Ceremony at the Amphithéâtre Paris Philharmonie, in Paris.
