Student performs at the Wiener Saal Mozarteum Hall, in Salzburg, Austria
Thanos Kyparos, an 8th Grade student, participated as a violin soloist in the concert for the winners and the award ceremony of the ‘Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition’.
The concert was held on Sunday, 30th of August 2020, at the famous Wiener Saal Mozarteum Hall, in Salzburg, Austria. Selected winners of the competition were invited to perform and Thanos played the ‘Sonata IV in D minor Alemande - Corrente’ by Johann Sebastian Bach.
In February 2020, Thanos won the 1st Prize in the competition ‘Paris 2020, Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition’. The award ceremony, originally scheduled at the Amphithéâtre Philharmonie, in Paris, was cancelled due to Covid-19.
