Make-A-Wish – Wish Star program, Hope for life on behalf of our young students!
During the last school year Elementary School students of Mandoulides Schools successfully participated in the Make-A-Wish – Wish Star program. Make-A-Wish has been granting wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions for 22 years in order to contribute to their physical and emotional strength necessary for their daily struggle. By donating 2 euros for a Wish Star, they received a paper star along with a bracelet as a memento gift.
Our students’ responsiveness to the program was immediate and extremely moving, since an impressive total amount of 3,470 euros was raised for 1,735 stars. Not only did they obtain a lovely ornament with their priceless donation but they also managed to offer joy, optimism and hope for a future as bright as a star to children being less fortunate.
We warmly thank all parents and students of Elementary School for their invaluable support and successful realization of the Make-A-Wish – Wish Star program for yet another school year.
