Microsoft’s Announcement about Showcase Schools
For the 6th consecutive year, Mandoulides Schools were selected by Microsoft as Showcase Schools for 2021 – 2022. Our Schools have stood out for their remarkable work at integrating technology and innovation in the contemporary classroom. Microsoft Showcase Schools belong to a worldwide community of schools that have been acknowledged and distinguished for their educational vision and innovation in teaching and learning procedures, as they provide students with the best available tools necessary for their future.
More specifically, via innovative mobile and cloud technology by Microsoft, they have managed to enrich the educational procedure by offering students new and more personalized learning techniques, equipping them with 21st century skills.
Regarding the school year 2021 – 2022, 110 teachers of Mandoulides Schools were selected by Microsoft as Microsoft Innovative Educators, out of whom 74 teachers were distinguished as Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts. Furthermore, 10 teachers of our Schools have gained the title of MIE Trainer and 30 teachers the title of MCE (Microsoft Certified Educator), while 2 educators have been granted the title of Microsoft Innovative Educator Fellow.
These distinguished teachers are now members of Microsoft’s global network comprised of more than 150.000 educators from all over the world.
Mandoulides Schools, being Microsoft Showcase Schools, act as a model for the other schools of the community they belong in, while they aspire to the vision of a smart and modern school and its realization for all schools. For this reason, they annually organize the Smart Education seminar, which is addressed to all teachers of Primary and Secondary Education and offered free of charge. This year the seminar is entitled “5G – A New Era for Education” and will be held on Saturday, 13 November 2021.
