The Blossoms explore the Dam of Thermi
In relation to our thematic unit “Autumn”, the Blossoms of the English Garden enjoyed their excursion to the Dam of Thermi on Friday, October 1st, 2021. Our young learners had the chance to observe the changes which occur in nature by taking a walk along the dam.
Teachers explained to their students the changes that occur during this season; the weather starts getting cooler, leaves start changing colour and daytime becomes shorter.
In addition, we remembered that certain animals, such as bears and squirrels gather and store food for hibernation. We also spoke of the animals which migrate south for the winter and the reasons why they do so. We ended this fun and educational trip by playing at the playground.
