Students of all grades of the Elementary School won the 4th prize for Greatest Participation in the "Wish Star" Creative Competition. During the past school year, our students took the remarkable initiative to raise money and provide concrete support to children in need, while showing that they are sensitized and possess humanitarian values.
Through their invaluable donations they managed to convey joy, optimism and hope for a future as bright as a star to children being less fortunate.
The Make-A-Wish - "Wish Star" Program has been granting wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions for 22 years, in order to enhance their physical and emotional strength necessary for their daily struggle.
The Award Ceremony took place at Serafeio Athletic and Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens on Sunday, 3 October.
We hope that this initiative will mark the beginning of similar actions of altruistic love and offer to our fellow human beings.
