Christmas for everyone
Christmas is approaching! Days of love, celebration and hope! Unfortunately, though, for some people the living conditions are hard and the acquisition of basic necessities is unfeasible. Nevertheless, we can relieve the pain of these people and offer a few moments of warmth to those who need it.
Let us not be overwhelmed by the negative aspects of the times we live in and let’s offer hope, joy and love to those in need!
For this reason, all students of Mandoulides Schools will contribute to the invaluable work of associations and schools that put solidarity into action.
More specifically, the students of:
- Day Care Center and Kindergarten will collect toys for the Smile of the Child.
- 1st-3rd Grades will support the Ark of the World association with gift cards from stores that provide: foodstuffs, stationery, clothes, toys, etc.
- 4th Grade will support the Center of Creative Activities for children with disabilities “SOTIR” by offering foodstuffs, detergent and personal hygiene products.
- 5th Grade will support the Smile of the Child with gift cards from stores that provide: foodstuffs, stationery, clothes, toys, etc.
- 6th Grade will support the Zografeio Lykeio of Instanbul by selling calendars (cost: 10 euros).
- 7th Grade will support the Center of Creative Activities for children with disabilities “Action for Something Different” by offering cleaning products and long-lasting foodstuffs as well as by contributing to the purchase of technical equipment.
- 8th Grade will support the Center of Creative Activities for children with disabilities “SOTIR” by offering foodstuffs, detergent and personal hygiene products.
- 9th Grade will support the Parents’ Association of People with Vision Impairments and Disabilities “SYZOI” by offering sanitizing and protection products, masks and antiseptic gel as well as by contributing to the purchase of a musical instrument, a cajon, for their Music Therapy Workshop.
- 10th Grade will contribute to the Association of Support to People with Addiction Problems “AROGI 12+” by collecting basic necessities and money in order to support the services provided and the personnel.
- 11th Grade will support the Zografeio Lykeio of Instanbul by selling calendars (cost: 10 euros).
In addition:
- The students of 5th Grade will support the Friends of Merimna association by baking and selling the Christmas Cookies for Charity, as they do every year.
- The students of 6th Grade will collect books and toys (BOOK AND TOY DRIVE) for the children who live in orphanages.
- All Elementary School students will buy a wish star (cost: 2 euros), in order for the children’s wishes of the ΜΑΚΕ Α WISH foundation to be fulfilled.
- The Volunteer Group and the students of the Studies Abroad program will support the "Home Care” program of the 3rd Pediatric Clinic of Ippokrateio Hospital by collecting books and toys as well as the High Commission by selling cards.
- The students of Mandoulides Schools will offer a wheelchair to Papanikolaou Hospital, which was purchased thanks to the plastic bottle caps that were collected in school.
ATTENTION!
- The products will be collected from Monday, 6 December 2021, to Friday, 17 December 2021:
a) at the Secretariat of Junior-Senior High School as regards the Junior-Senior High School
b) at the Call Center as regards the Kindergarten - Elementary School. - The gift cards and the money will be given to the class teacher.
Christmas is a period of love, joy and solidarity actions. We ought to consider our fellow human beings, support them and share a few moments of warmth with them.
Let us all unite in order to reach this goal and teach our students the values of solidarity and offering.
