Our 3rd Grade students travel to “Lilipoupoli,” in honor of Marianina Κriezi

In an attempt to honor the remarkable writer and lyricist Marianina Kriezi, the students and teachers of 3rd Grade created their own imaginary means of transport as well as their own poems.

Inspired by the song “The Sun Bus” derived from “Lilipoupoli” that they studied during their Greek Language lessons, our students familiarized themselves with lyrics, verses and rhymes and became acquainted with the modern writing style of children’s songs by listening to music composed by Manos Chatzidakis.

To honor the memory of this great artist, our students created ships that sail in seas of strawberries, airplanes that are flown by puppies and trains that travel on rails with wings while sweets are being distributed and seagulls are tasting cotton candy.

Does this seem like a dream to you? On a journey towards “Lilipoupoli” anything is possible…

Mrs. Kriezi had visited our school in 2017, together with Mrs. Sofia Zarabuka on the occasion of their book "O Karomytogas". Our students, after welcoming them, in turn told the story of "Karamytoga" and the journey of water, in their own unique way.
