Student’s participation in the International Philosophy Olympiad

2nd and 3rd place in the 11th Panhellenic Philosophical Essay Competition

Our 11th grade student O. Κerameos will represent our country in the International Philosophy Olympiad that will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from May 26 to May 29, 2022. On the basis of the foreign language criterion, she was selected by the committee of the Panhellenic Philosophical Essay Competition as the 1st participant while the 11th grade student D. Karavasilis was selected as the 1st runner-up.

In addition, D. Κaravasilis and O. Kerameos won the 2nd and 7th place respectively in the final round of the 11th Panhellenic Philosophical Essay Competition, organized by the University of Patras with the support of the Harvard University’s Center of Hellenic Studies and the Panhellenic Association of Philologists.

The finals of the Panhellenic Philosophy Competition were conducted on February 18 and 19, 2022, on the topic “Feelings, cognition and questions about knowledge.”

Αpart from the books that are given to the winners and all the finalists, this year the Harvard University’s Center of Hellenic Studies is offering a special prize to O. Kerameos, who was the first to be selected as a member of the team representing Greece in the International Philosophy Olympiad.

The prize is a scholarship for the summer program for Senior High School students entitled “High School Program - HSSP,” which is held in Nafplio every year. The summer program will be conducted from June 30 to July 15, 2022. You can find more information about the summer program here.
