Mandoulides Robotics Day

Mandoulides Robotics Day

Mandoulides Schools have incorporated an additional one-hour Informatics lesson into the weekly schedule of the 5th and 6th Grades, offering students the opportunity to become acquainted with Educational Robotics, innovative Informatics Programs as well as the principles of Research Methodology.

5th Grade

After forming groups, our 5th grade students constructed robots and programmed them to perform certain tasks. In addition, they engaged in Research Methodology, recognizing problems and finding their own innovative solutions. The progress of each group was demonstrated on a poster, which children created in their own unique and imaginative way.

The event was attended by our 4th grade students who have already started planning their future steps in Robotics.

6th Grade

This year, our 6th grade students engaged in a series of Educational Robotics activities, using simulators and real robots, learning algorithms and acquiring problem-solving strategies. In addition, they were challenged with some Robotics problems which they managed to solve employing their knowledge.

“Mandoulides Robotics Day” took place in the indoor sports hall of the Elementary School on June 7th and 14th, 2022, from 9:30 to 12:30. 15 teams of the 5th grade as well as 15 teams of the 6th grade participated in the event.

We would like to congratulate our students on their excellent work!
