Student’s participation in the “Leonidas Kavakos International Violin Masterclass”

Thanos Kyparos, a 9th grade student at Mandoulides Schools and a violin student at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, was selected to participate as an Active Member in the “Leonidas Kavakos International Violin Masterclass & Chamber Music Workshop 2022,” which will take place at the Academy of Athens from June 24th to June 26th, 2022.

This Masterclass is addressed to professional musicians and talented students of Music Academies, Conservatories and Colleges from all over the world, irrespective of their age. Thanos is one of the 16 musicians who were selected by the world-renowned Greek violinist to actively participate in the event.

The workshop will last for three days and is one of the most interesting educational music events in Europe that is known worldwide. Its active participants will have an individual violin lesson with Leonidas Kavakos and free access to the three-day workshop. In addition, they will receive a participation certificate.

The workshop has been organized for nine consecutive years and has been taking place under the auspices of the Academy of Athens for the last five years. Within the framework of the workshops, musicians from Japan, the USA, England, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Armenia, Mexico, Austria, Belgium and various other countries from all around the world have come to Greece either as Active Participants or simple attendees.
