Webinar: Mathematical Logic and Reasoning
In order to stimulate the students’ interest in Mathematics and to help them familiarize themselves with mathematical concepts which are not included in their school books, Mandoulides Schools are organizing various events that help students develop their skill in Mathematical Logic and Reasoning and also prepare them for various Panhellenic and International Mathematical contests. After all, it is the nature of Mathematics as a discipline to help students form a rational way of thinking.
For the school year 2020-2021, the Mathematical Logic and Reasoning program, which has been organized by Mandoulides Schools for the past 16 years and was conceptualized by its founder Evangelos Mandoulides, took place online due to COVID-19 related public health measures.
On Sunday 24 January 2021 eight more took place. Each lesson, which was attended by 111 students from all over Greece, lasted for 1 hour and 20 minutes, from 17:00 to 20:10.
On Sunday 13 December 2020, eight more lessons on various subject areas of Mathematics took place. Each lesson, which was attended by 111 students from all over Greece, lasted for 1 hour and 20 minutes, from 17:00 to 20:10.
Furthermore, on Sunday 18 October 2020, the educational programs of “Mathematical Games” and Introduction to Mathematical Logic and Reasoning” took place through the online Microsoft platform Teams during the innovative program “Art and Science Days”. Students of the 5th and 6th Grade participated in the “Mathematical Games” Program while students of the 7th Grade took part in the “Introduction to Mathematical Logic and Reasoning” program.
