Harvard Model Congress
Young Global Leaders Program

Dates: 17/06/24 - 19/06/24

Students: 6th grade - 10th grade from public and private schools

This is a groundbreaking educational program focused on leadership development under the auspices of the Harvard Model Congress San Francisco. It is exclusively organized by Harvard undergraduate students.

The program spans 3 days and centers around leadership activities, contextual problem solving, and group collaboration. Alongside the core curriculum, Harvard college students will provide a glimpse into college life, offer insights and tips on college admissions and applications, and share their personal leadership experiences and stories.

Corporate Programs

Corporate Programs are career orientation programs based on the principles of experiential learning where participants learn through observation and interaction with executives of an organization or a company.

The programs last four weeks and are divided into two phases. In the first phase, students are introduced to the basic principles of operation of a company while in the second phase they acquire experiential experience on its premises on a daily basis, participating in meetings and dialogues with executives and thus familiarizing themselves with the subject.

Educational Programs at Colleges and Universities Abroad

Students: 5th Grade - 11th Grade. The program is open exclusively to Mandoulides Schools students
Programs’ Supervisor: Sofia Nikoloudaki/Eleni Theodoridou

The program is aimed at students wishing to make creative and pleasant use of their summer vacation while practicing the foreign languages they are taught during the school year, traveling to the United Kingdom (English) and Austria (German).

The program includes:

  • 15-day accommodation and full board at colleges or universities in the country of the students' preference
  • Flights and transfer costs
  • Escort and continuous supervision by experienced teachers of the Schools
  • Teaching of the foreign language the students have selected
  • Full-day and half-day excursions.

Mathematical Thinking and Reasoning

The Week of Mathematical Thinking and Logic has been organized in Schools for 15 years, with the participation of distinguished teachers, school counselors, representatives of the Hellenic Mathematical Society and Olympians. An idea of ​​the founder of the Evangelos Mantoulidis Education Center, it aims at the free preparation of High School - High School students of the entire city and the wider region of Central Macedonia for the required exams of the Hellenic Mathematical Society, the Balkaniades and the Mathematical Olympiads.

The purpose of this program is to involve and attract the attention of students through carefully designed exercises, subtly leading them to the fundamental understanding of concepts.

The program includes courses by school counselors, mathematical Olympiad winners and experienced mathematicians.

Mandoulides Robo - Coders Days

Through a variety of activities, students get to know the secrets of programming and develop a creative relationship with the computer.

The program includes:

Mandoulides Robotixlab Day

September 2023
Students: 5th - 9th Grade. Open to students from all schools, FREE OF CHARGE!

Any object we throw away might be useful! The key is imagination, creativity and innovative thinking.

How can a simple plastic bottle become something original that will impress everybody?

Robotixlab Day includes two 90-minute workshops where children will experiment, combining technology (3D design and 3D printing) and robotics. They will design - build a hard-plastic object and program their robot to complete the mission which will be assigned to them.

The workshop is based on Robotixlab's out-of-the-box-learning method, where knowledge is experientially conceived through design, experimentation and testing in a repetitive design cycle of optimal solution approach. The program is designed and implemented by Antonis Kanouras, robotics engineer and founder of Robotixlab.

The program includes:

  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Developing ideas and solutions
  • Programming robots and microprocessors with sensors, electric motors, LED etc.
  • 3D design and 3D printing
  • A specialized program that aims to familiarize students with robotics and technology

Rhetorical Speech Contests

Students: 7th - 12th grade. Open to students from all schools, FREE OF CHARGE!

Students from all schools can become acquainted with rhetorical speech exercises (contrasting arguments, impromptu speaking and original oratory, expressive reading) and become acquainted with the basic rules according to which a virtual trial is conducted.

5th and 6th grade students will familiarise themselves with the rules of Debate and Group Discussion. In breakout rooms they will converse and get prepared for debates that they will present in the end!

Students: Pre-Kindergarten - 6th Grade. The program is open exclusively to Mandoulides Schools students

The school opens its doors to our students, with a multitude of activities, innovative projects, lots of games, relaxation and joy.

Soccer Camp

With the constant supervision of highly qualified coaches, in carefully selected sports facilities, with desire to play and love for the most popular sport of all, Soccer Camp is looking forward to welcoming its athletes.

Redefining Mathematics

Students: 5th - 8th Grade. Open to students from all schools!

The school aims to change the way that students view Mathematics as well as promote their ability to fully comprehend the role of Mathematics in our world, make properly substantiated arguments, redefine Mathematics, and use it in a different way so that they can cover their life needs as thinking, creative and active citizens.

The students:

  • Will get to know the creative and interactive aspects of Mathematics 
  • Will learn about new and interesting areas of mathematics that are not included in textbooks 
  • Will be involved in group projects 
  • Will combine their mathematical knowledge with Robotics and Programming and learning with games and creation.

Through a series of workshops held in English, students will be able to develop skills such as artistic expression and creativity, externalization of emotions, cooperation, critical thinking and undertaking of initiatives, and empathy. They will be given the chance to get to know themselves better and discover their aptitude and talents in a fun and creative way.

They will also have the opportunity, thanks to experienced trainers, to be initiated into the secrets of the following arts:

"Morphoses" Skills of the future

Students: 6th Grade – 9th Grade, for all children in the city

Online Program on the “Morphoses” platform

“Time to boost your confidence: unlock your talents and skills”

Children will develop a series of soft skills, such as empathy, critical thinking, decision-making, undertaking of initiatives, and creativity through gamified and fun programs. They will practice argumentation, presentation, and ethical analysis skills.

Students:

  • Will face a series of mysteries full of truths and lies.
  • Will be asked to make decisions as a team.
  • Will solve mathematical and observational puzzles.
  • Will practice tools, such as the SODAS model and Six Thinking Hats.
  • Will come into contact with the 5 WHYs technique
  • Will be introduced to pitching practices

This way, they will manage to:
