{"id":156559,"date":"2026-02-24T11:10:33","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T09:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mandoulides.edu.gr\/?post_type=conferences_events&#038;p=156559"},"modified":"2026-03-03T13:20:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T11:20:14","slug":"dido-sotiriou-the-asia-minor-greek","status":"publish","type":"conferences_events","link":"https:\/\/mandoulides.edu.gr\/en\/conferences_events\/dido-sotiriou-the-asia-minor-greek\/","title":{"rendered":"Dido Sotiriou: The Asia Minor Greek"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students, university professors, writers, actors, musicians, and journalists will participate in the <strong>10th International Student Literature Conference<\/strong> titled \u201c<strong>Dido Sotiriou: The Asia Minor Greek<\/strong>\u201d, exploring the life and work of the great Greek author.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference is organized by the <strong>Zografeion<\/strong> Lyceum of Constantinople and <strong>Mandoulides Schools<\/strong> of Thessaloniki, part of the <strong>Dukes Education<\/strong> group, under the auspices of the <strong>Ecumenical Patriarchate<\/strong>. It will take place in <strong>Istanbul<\/strong>, at the Zografeion Lyceum, from <strong>11<\/strong> to <strong>15 March 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The 10th International Student Literature Conference will feature discussions by distinguished scholars, writers, poets, journalists, artists, and students from <strong>34 schools<\/strong> (public and private) from Greece, Istanbul, Nicosia, Larnaca, Imbros, Johannesburg, Lubumbashi, and New York, on topics such as:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u201cIs there anything more fantastic than reality? Dido Sotiriou between journalism and literature\u201d<br \/>\n\u2022 Portraits: Voices and characters in the work of Dido Sotiriou<br \/>\n\u2022 The woman of her life<br \/>\n\u2022 \u201cWhen society falls out of tune, we have a duty to wake up at dawn\u201d<br \/>\n\u2022 \u201cA survival guide for the 21st century by Dido Sotiriou\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Conference will be opened by <strong>His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew<\/strong>.<br \/>\nAlongside the discussions, concerts, theatrical events, conversations, and excursions will take place, including visits to the Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara, B\u00fcy\u00fckada (Prinkipo), and Halki.
