Prompted by the book of our literary program \u201cBe a Tree!\u201d by Maria Gianferrari and the effort to raise children\u2019s environmental awareness, the Pre-Kindergarten students participated in the educational program \u201cThe Forest as a Green Laboratory\u201d in Seih-Sou Forest by the educational programs team \u201cLittle Heroes\u201d.<\/p>\n

Through hands-on games and activities, the children were trained in orientation in the forest and calculating the age and height of trees. Also, they learned how to build huts from reeds and small sticks and nests for small birds. The project aimed to reinforce respect and understanding of the value of the forest and the proper ways of recreation in it.<\/p>\n
