THE POET.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>MARCH 19 \u2013 23, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarchate<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Students, academics, writers, actors, musicians and journalists will participate in the 9th International Student Literature Conference on the theme: <strong>\u201cKiki Dimoula. The Poet\u201d<\/strong>, to explore the life and work of the great Greek creator.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference is organized by <strong>Zografeion Lyceum and E. Mandoulides Schools of Thessaloniki<\/strong>, under the auspices of the <strong>Ecumenical Patriarchate<\/strong>, and will take place in <strong>Istanbul, at the Zografeion Lyceum<\/strong>, from March <strong>19<\/strong> to <strong>23, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>9th International Student Literature Conference<\/strong> will feature discussions led by distinguished scholars, authors, poets, journalists, artists, and students from <strong>31 schools<\/strong> (public and private) in Greece, Istanbul, Nicosia, Larnaca, Imbros, Johannesburg, and New York on the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cClimb onto the universe\u2019s ledge\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Mythical Figures in Kiki Dimoula\u2019s poetry<\/li>\n<li>\u201cLove \/ a noun\u201d. The presence of love in Kiki Dimoula\u2019s poetry<\/li>\n<li>\u201cA suspended lady\u201d: Places, roads, and journeys in Kiki Dimoula\u2019s poetry<\/li>\n<li>The body in Kiki Dimoula\u2019s poetry<\/li>\n<li>Outlining Kiki Dimoula\u2019s (stylo-)linguistic identity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conference will be inaugurated by <strong>His All Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the discussions, there will be concerts, theatrical performances, discussions, and guided tours of the Bosporus, the Sea of Marmara, Prinkipo, and Halki.<\/p>\n<p>Notably:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cTribute to Kiki Dimoula\u201d<\/strong> &#8211; Maria Farantouri Concert &#8211; Grand Pera, 19\/03.<br \/>\n<strong>Maria Farantouri<\/strong> will perform musical adaptations of Kiki Dimoula\u2019s poems, as well as songs from her repertoire, accompanied on piano by Achilleas Gouastor.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe World\u2019s Little\u201d<br \/>\nA performance of words, images, and music with Olia Lazaridou<br \/>\nDirector\u202fThodoris Gonis presents \u201cThe World\u2019s Little\u201d, a personal anthology of Kiki Dimoula\u2019s poetry featuring verses, imagery, and music. On stage, actress Olia Lazaridou selects and reads poems from Dimoula\u2019s entire body of work while composer\u202fChristos Theodorou accompanies the recitation with music.
