During these October days, we feel a special sense of pride as all Greeks prepare to celebrate our National Holiday on October 28.<\/p>\n
At Kindergarten, we held a parade to the sound of marching band music and invited the younger students of our school to join us in our classrooms. We waved the Greek flags and proudly recited our poems. We sang songs and danced together, young and old, forming a large circle as we joined hands and voices.<\/p>\n
The Pre-Kindergarten students released beautiful white balloons, reminding everyone of the word \u201cAIR\u201d and the courage shown by our Greek soldiers, while the Kindergarten classes were decorated with lovely crafts.<\/p>\n
At the same time, the Kindergarten students learned about the life and the work of the Patron Saint of our city, Saint Demetrius. They even visited the historic church and admired its mosaics and frescoes.<\/p>\n
Upon returning to their classrooms, one wish echoed from everyone:<\/p>\n
\u201cHappy Birthday, Greece!\u201d<\/em> \u201cLong live October 28, 1940.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
