Through an experiential workshop, <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">students<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">explored traditional occupations that <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">have<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">now <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">disappeared<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">. They had the opportunity to <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">learn<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\"> how these professions were once practiced and to compare<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">them with present-day realities<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">.<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">This<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">enriching experience<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">not only <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">deepened<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">their<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">knowledge<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">but also prompted <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">thoughtful <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">reflection, as<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">students<\/span> <span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">came to appreciate <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">the fleeting nature of certain jobs and their strong connection to the social demands of each<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\"> historical<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\"> era.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW50930336 BCX0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW50930336 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 4th and 6th graders of E.
