This year’s event was hosted at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), while the 2026 edition is scheduled to take place at Cornell University.

The 2025 competition featured 3,475 students with 1,698 scientific projects from 69 countries and 34 U.S. states, including leading nations in global scientific excellence such as Singapore, South Korea, China, India, Australia, the UK, Switzerland, and 10 European Union countries (including Italy, Spain, Romania, Luxembourg, among others).

Only 40% of the projects advanced to the final round, and from those, just the top 20% received medals (gold, silver, or bronze), with the competition reaching one of its highest levels of quality in recent years.

This distinction comes with a $15,000 annual scholarship for each year of undergraduate studies at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), offering the students strong academic prospects and opening the path to international academic development.

This remarkable achievement is not only a personal success for the students and their school but also a testament to the quality of Greek student potential and the capacity for international recognition in high-level academic environments, strengthening Greece’s image on the global educational and scientific map.
