Dimitris Toulis, a 2025 graduate of Mandoulides Schools, earned the silver medal at the 2nd International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2025), held in Beijing, China, from August 2 to 9, 2025. His place on Greece\u2019s national team was secured by his impressive performance in the 1st Panhellenic AI Competition, where he claimed first place and earned one of the four spots on the national delegation.<\/p>\n
Starting his studies next school year in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Dimitris completed his school journey with an outstanding score of 18,840 points. During his years at Mandoulides, he distinguished himself in numerous national and international competitions. Among his most notable achievements are a bronze medal at the 2024 Balkan Physics Olympiad in Montenegro (BPO<\/a>), a bronze at the European Olympiad of Experimental Sciences (EOES<\/a>) 2024, the gold medal at the 2023 National Positive Sciences Competition (YNT), and a qualification for the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO<\/a>) in Dubai in July 2025.<\/p>\n Just days before departing for Beijing, Dimitris was honored by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at a conference on artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n This new distinction adds to an impressive series of successes, reaffirming the high level of talent cultivated at Mandoulides Schools and strengthening Greece\u2019s presence at international scientific competitions.<\/p>\n IOAI 2025 brought together approximately 300 students from 60 countries competing in 78 teams, under the auspices of UNESCO.<\/p>\n The full results of the 2025 International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2025) are available on the competition\u2019s official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
