The kindergarten students participated in an educational visit to the facilities of the \u201cBarba Stathis\u201d factory, where they took part in a specially designed nutrition program.<\/p>\n
During the program, the children had the opportunity to understand the nutritional value of vegetables, the importance of a balanced diet, and to become more aware of the critical issue of food waste. In addition, they learned about the process of producing and sorting fresh vegetables, explored the importance of healthy eating through interactive, experiential, and sensory games, and created their own \u201cfood pyramids\u201d and other artistic crafts.<\/p>\n
Finally, they prepared and tasted healthy snacks with the help of the program\u2019s instructors. All activities aimed to help children develop basic knowledge about healthy eating and appreciate the value of nature in our daily lives.<\/p>\n
