\u201cLife can be sweet\u2026 even without sugar!\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a particularly creative way, the second-grade students celebrated <\/span>World Diabetes Day<\/span><\/b>. As part of the school\u2019s nutrition program <\/span>\u201cI Eat Properly and Healthily\u201d<\/span>,<\/span><\/b> the children were first informed by their teachers about what diabetes is, what symptoms this condition causes, and how it can be prevented.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They then took part in an original <\/span>treasure hunt<\/span>, specially designed around the characteristics of this disease. In a simple and understandable way, appropriate for their age, the students learned key concepts such as <\/span>insulin<\/span>, <\/span><\/b>hypoglycemia<\/span>, <\/span><\/b>hyperglycemia<\/span>, and <\/span>glucose<\/span>. At the same time, they had the opportunity to recall the importance of a <\/span>balanced and healthy diet<\/span> in preventing such conditions and to convey these messages through their song \u201cThe Greedy Dragon\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
