On\u00a0\u00a0the occasion of\u00a0World Greek Language Day, the 3rd Grade students took part in a special online meeting with the 3rd Grade class of\u00a0Fulham\u00a0Bilingual\u00a0Lyc\u00e9e\u00a0Fran\u00e7ais\u00a0de Gaulle in London.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The children collaborated on an exciting linguistic mission: they discovered Greek words that have \u201ctraveled\u201d into other languages around the world and are still used today in everyday communication. Words such as\u00a0<\/span>democracy, theatre, music,<\/span><\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>history<\/span><\/i>\u00a0showed the students that the Greek language is a living bridge of culture, knowledge, and communication.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This activity helped the children understand that the Greek language does not belong only to the past, but lives on, evolves, and continues to influence the world around us.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Through smiles, the exchange of ideas, and shared activities, the children realized that words\u00a0can\u00a0bring people, nations, and classrooms together, even when they are thousands of kilometers apart.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because language has no borders\u2026 it has roots and wings<\/span><\/p>\n
