The 1st grade students visited\u00a0MoMus\u00a0at the\u00a0Moni\u00a0Lazariston, where they took part in the museum education program:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cAlexis\u00a0Gritchenko\u00a0(1883\u20131977).\u00a0<\/span><\/i>The\u00a0Greek\u00a0Adventure\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Rainbows\u00a0in\u00a0Defiance.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rainbows are not always \u201cperfect\u201d arcs. The shape we see depends on the observer\u2019s position, the angle of the light, and the raindrops.\u00a0Inspired by one of the most unusual and poetic rainbows painted by Alexis\u00a0Gritchenko, the 1st grade students explored this natural phenomenon through observation, discussion, and play.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The children first studied\u00a0Gritchenko\u2019s\u00a0works and then discussed how their colors and shapes change depending on the light and the viewing angle. Through experiments with flashlights, water, and spray bottles, they created small \u201crainbows\u201d and described their most unexpected forms: arcs in the sky, sometimes straight or broken, and at other times like colorful pathways leading to imaginary worlds.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Afterwards, through painting, collage, and\u00a0constructions, they expressed their own interpretations. The children\u2019s collaborative artwork will be placed in a museum space, where it will be\u00a0exhibited.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n \n<\/svg>picture gallery<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>
