As part of the European program\u00a0<\/span>\u201cEU\u00a0Childocracy\u201d<\/span><\/b>,\u00a0Mandoulides\u00a0Schools took part in the\u00a0twoday\u00a0Summit held in\u00a0<\/span>Sofia, Bulgaria<\/span><\/b>, from March 18 to 20. Ten students from Grades 10 and 11 participated, alongside two\u00a0additional\u00a0schools from Italy and Bulgaria.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the first day, a\u00a0<\/span>photography competition<\/span><\/b>\u00a0was held. Students from all three schools\u00a0submitted\u00a0photos depicting\u00a0<\/span>European Union values<\/span><\/b>\u00a0and ways in which they themselves\u00a0express social and political engagement. In this competition,\u00a0<\/span>I.\u00a0Tsiris<\/span><\/b>\u00a0(Grade 11) won\u00a0<\/span>2nd prize<\/span><\/b>\u00a0for his photograph on the theme of the\u00a0<\/span>Climate Crisis<\/span><\/b>\u00a0currently affecting Europe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the second day, students attended talks by experts on topics such as the role of\u00a0<\/span>Artificial Intelligence<\/span><\/b>\u00a0in today\u2019s society, the influence of companies,\u00a0entrepreneurs, and\u00a0influencers\u00a0on shaping the political awareness of the younger generation, and the future that young people envision for Europe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The participation of\u00a0Mandoulides\u00a0Schools in the \u201cEU\u00a0Childocracy\u201d program will conclude with the school\u2019s representation at the corresponding Summit to be held in\u00a0<\/span>Palermo, Italy<\/span><\/b>, from April 20 to 22.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
