From April 20 to 22, the final Summit of the\u00a0<\/span>\u201cEU CHILDOCRACY\u201d<\/span><\/b>\u00a0program took place in Palermo, Italy. For two days, students from\u00a0Mandoulides\u00a0Schools were briefed by scientists, state representatives, members of Palermo\u2019s local government, and Members of the European Parliament on the importance of inclusion and solidarity among the countries of the European Union.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the first day, students learned about the ways in which they themselves can contribute to safeguarding human rights and ensuring inclusion and participation for all in decision<\/span>\u2011making processes;\u00a0whether within their school community today or their university community in the future.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the second day, a photography competition was held among students from all participating countries. Students were asked to create and\u00a0submit\u00a0an original artistic design depicting solidarity and inclusion within the European Union. In this competition, our student\u00a0<\/span>K.\u00a0Karapantsiou\u00a0(Grade 11)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0won\u00a0<\/span>3rd prize<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout their stay, students also had the opportunity to explore the historic city of Palermo, visiting museums, archaeological sites, remarkable churches, and the city\u2019s historic center.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n \n<\/svg>picture gallery<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>
