With the completion of the \u201cForest \u2013 Civil Protection\u201d program within the Skills Workshops, the 2nd grade students visited \u201cMIKROI IROES,\u201d where they\u00a0participated\u00a0in the educational program \u201cWalking, Walking\u00a0Through\u00a0the Forest,\u201d which took place in the\u00a0peri-urban forest of Thessaloniki.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a lush green environment, just a few meters from\u00a0Filippio, the children transformed into little explorers! With the guidance of the program coordinators, they walked along forest paths, listened to the sounds of nature, and carefully\u00a0observed\u00a0the plants and animals living there. They learned to distinguish\u00a0different types\u00a0of trees, recognize animal tracks, and respect the natural environment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As future campers, the children were informed about the importance of preventing forest fires, which is especially crucial during the summer months.\u00a0They learned ways to protect the forest and how to behave responsibly when in nature.\u00a0Through games, discussions, and hands-on activities, their ecological awareness was\u00a0nurtured\u00a0and their love for the environment was strengthened.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
