{"id":17349,"date":"2018-12-13T21:15:20","date_gmt":"2018-12-13T19:15:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mandoulides2.edu.gr\/5th-grade-at-the-museum-of-byzantine-culture\/"},"modified":"2018-12-13T21:20:07","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T19:20:07","slug":"5th-grade-at-the-museum-of-byzantine-culture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mandoulides.edu.gr\/en\/5th-grade-at-the-museum-of-byzantine-culture\/","title":{"rendered":"5th Grade at the Museum of Byzantine Culture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The students of 5th Grade visited the <a href=\"https:\/\/mbp.gr\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Museum of Byzantine Culture<\/a>, where they had the opportunity to see the structure of an Early Christian city and residence.<\/p>\n<p>With the triclinium -the reception area of \u200bwealthy houses in Thessaloniki- as our starting point, they developed a sense of the role of the city as a fortified residential complex which comprised public and private life, professional activities, economic aspects, commerce, workshops, residences and their equipment (ceramics and glassware), several in-house activities (weaving, cooking) as well as items of clothing and grooming.<\/p>\n<p>All the pictures the students had seen in their textbooks came alive and took them on a journey into the everyday life of an old time period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The students of 5th Grade visited the Museum of Byzantine Culture, where they had the opportunity to see the structure of an Early Christian city and residence.
