{"id":17942,"date":"2020-12-07T19:06:07","date_gmt":"2020-12-07T17:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mandoulides2.edu.gr\/a-book-about-theodores-dreams\/"},"modified":"2020-12-07T19:06:07","modified_gmt":"2020-12-07T17:06:07","slug":"a-book-about-theodores-dreams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mandoulides.edu.gr\/en\/a-book-about-theodores-dreams\/","title":{"rendered":"A book about Theodore\u2019s dreams"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>A book about Theodore\u2019s dreams<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"\/?page_id=49122\">1st Grade<\/a> students met the sly fox, who managed to trick and fool the forest animals, in the pages of the book they read in their virtual classroom, called \u201cThe Fox Dressmaker\u201d by Christina Ntouma.<\/p>\n<p>The children talked about the power of forgiveness and made a card in the shape of a little fox, to apologise to the forest animals. During the Theatrical Play lesson, they practiced role-playing, in order to get closer to the concepts of exploitation and the values of sincere penitence and justice, fostering their critical thinking.<\/p>\n<p>The book\u2019s purpose is the gift of life itself, by reinforcing the battle the Ntoumas family faced in order to reach the cure for their son Theodore. \u00a0The story managed to touch our young students through the messages it sends and made them feel sensitive to Theodore\u2019s dreams.<\/p>\n<p>A great percentage of the profits from the book sale will be donated towards Theodore\u2019s treatment.<\/p>\n<p>You can find more information on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theodoresmiracle.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website for Theodore<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A book about Theodore\u2019s dreams The 1st Grade students met the sly fox, who managed to trick and fool the forest animals, in the pages of the book they read in their virtual classroom, called \u201cThe Fox Dressmaker\u201d by Christina Ntouma.
