Kindergarten <\/a>“traveled” to Ancient Greece and learned how our ancestors interpreted the creation of the world, the weather phenomena, the seasons, the fruitfulness of the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThey understood that Greek mythology represents the first attempt of man to explain and understand what was happening around him, creating a corresponding myth each time. They wondered whether the interpretations given by our ancestors to the various phenomena with the myths were correct or not, they discussed and drew their own conclusions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They got to know the perceptions of the ancient Greeks about the twelve gods of Olympus, their place of residence, their way of worship, their characteristics and symbols, about how they intervened in people’s lives. They learned about the myth of the abduction of Persephone, which explained the change of seasons, the myth of Egelados, which explained the earthquakes, the myth of Athena and Poseidon, which gave the name to the capital of Greece, Athens, but also the myth of spider,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
who taught them that it is not right to boast about what we do in our lives and that we should not be selfish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They met the god Hephaestus who had his workshop under volcanoes. They experimented, making their own volcanoes with plasticine, while causing impressive “volcanic eruptions” with vinegar and baking soda and creating their own amphorae and craters, which they decorated with their favorite god or myth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
