Mandoulides Basketball Camps 2021<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The second week of MANDOULIDES BASKETBALL CAMPS\u00a02021 has been completed. The two weeks were independent and each of them consisted of two camps, the morning\u00a0ALL STAR BASKETBALL CAMP<\/a>\u00a0and the afternoon\u00a0FULL – COURT BASKETBALL CAMP<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it happens every year, the enthusiasm, individual and team trainings, games, individual competitions as well as the coaches\u2019 dedication to the teaching of fundamental elements of basketball guaranteed the camp\u2019s success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a large number of participants in the camp, who were both athletes of the Academy of Mandoulides Schools<\/a> and athletes from all over Thessaloniki. The presence of young athletes from the Academy of Atlantas from Paphos of Cyprus in the second period has become a pleasant routine and provides an interesting aspect to this period. Our partnership with Atlantas is considered really significant, the players\u2019 improvement has been conspicuous and the new bonds of friendship that are created among the athletes are always an integral part of the camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presence of remarkable coaches who reinforced the work of the camp with their experience is of great importance as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Savvas Kamperidis, Head Coach of ARIS <\/a>basketball team, became a member of the coaching staff of Mandoulides ALL STAR BASKETBALL CAMP for a day. He participated both in the individual trainings and the stations. For over three hours he offered passion and intensity to the training and provided help to players and coaches, in order for the quality of the training to rise even higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Savvas used to be a student of Mandoulides Schools and a player of the school team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lazaros Papadopoulos, former international basketball player, and Danai Papadopoulou were the guests at the Full – Court Camp of Mandoulides Basketball Camp on Wednesday, 7 July. Lazaros, also known in the sports world as Lazos, provided valuable advice to young athletes, shared details with them regarding the fundamentals of basketball, while placing emphasis on lay \u2013 up. In addition, he played one on one with some daring young athletes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Referring to Lazaros, coach Nikolaidis talked about their collaboration, Lazaros\u2019 dedication to training and the highlights of Lazaros\u2019 outstanding career, stressing his deep devotion to self-improvement both during the gaming season and the summer period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He, also, referred to Danai Papadopoulou who graduated from Mandoulides Schools a few days ago. She graduated with honors after her participation in national teams, her achievements and records in the championships of the girls, young women and women leagues. Specifically, he emphasized the sports scholarship she received from Kansas University, where she is heading to in the following days, being now a member of the University team roster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FULL – COURT BASKETBALL CAMP is an innovative camp, which was based on the idea of athletes employing and further developing the basic elements of basketball via team work on transition offense. Young athletes exhibited great enthusiasm during trainings and significant improvement on teamwork and collaboration efforts. Most of them actually participated in the morning camp as well \u2013 nothing compares to a whole day full of basketball!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keeping in mind that this effort will continue next year, the\u00a0coaching staff\u00a0would like to thank all the participants and wishes them and their families a happy summer full of pleasant moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
