{"id":18442,"date":"2023-04-28T07:08:10","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T04:08:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mandoulides2.edu.gr\/school-alumnis-visit-to-our-9th-grade-students\/"},"modified":"2023-04-28T07:08:10","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T04:08:10","slug":"school-alumnis-visit-to-our-9th-grade-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mandoulides.edu.gr\/en\/school-alumnis-visit-to-our-9th-grade-students\/","title":{"rendered":"School alumni\u2019s visit to our 9th Grade students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>School alumni Alkistis Giogiou visited our Schools on Friday, 28<sup>th<\/sup> April, and talked with the 9<sup>th<\/sup> Grade students about their relationship with politics, social problems, stereotypes, prejudice, and all these things that \u201cseem\u201d to divide us \u2013 when they really unite us.<\/p>\n<p>Her visit was prompted by the European project \u201cLiving Library\u201d otherwise called \u201cEuropean Living Library\u201d, which was created by Ms. Giogiou\u2019s organization \u201cMoveIt\u201d, in cooperation with CONNECT International Network, and with co-financing from the European Union\u2019s \u201cEurope for Citizens\u201d program.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of \u201cLiving Library\u201d is to break stereotypes and fight prejudice. Thus, people of different nationalities, genders, ages, religious and social groups become \u201cbooks\u201d for a while and share their stories with anyone in the audience who wishes to \u201cread\u201d them.<\/p>\n<p>The students watched a clip from the documentary that was created as part of the \u201cLiving Library\u201d program, in which some of the \u201cbooks\u201d described their experiences and expressed their opinions.
