{"id":111174,"date":"2024-04-09T12:30:33","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T09:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mandoulides2.edu.gr\/programma-spoudon\/little-and-great-pioneers\/"},"modified":"2024-08-06T11:47:29","modified_gmt":"2024-08-06T08:47:29","slug":"little-and-great-pioneers","status":"publish","type":"programma-spoudon","link":"https:\/\/mandoulides.edu.gr\/en\/programma-spoudon\/little-and-great-pioneers\/","title":{"rendered":"Little and Great Pioneers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">Mandoulides Schools launch the \u201cLittle and Big Pioneers\u201d art program, in collaboration with Melissa Publishing House, wishing to emphasize the direct relation of education with art and showcase its catalytic role in shaping the personality of children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">Art has to be an integral part of all levels of education, with innovative ideas, in conjunction with each lesson, so that the student can be transformed from receiver to creator, while teaching will turn from a formal process into a creative activity, full of life, intensity and passion for knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">Using the books of Melissa and MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York), students of 3rd Grade &#8211; 9th Grade study the life and work of great artists, become inspired by their work, and begin to create.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">The aim of the program is for every student to get acquainted with great art pioneers, and to highlight the messages of their works and their creative approach. Students will also be informed about the artistic trends of each artist\u2019s era, they will study their style and motifs, and they will reflect on and showcase their timelessness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">Students of each grade<a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a>\u00a0of elementary school will deal with the work of a specific creator through the following books:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">\u2022 3rd Grade:\u00a0Magritte&#8217;s Apple\u00a0by K. Verplancke, translation by V. Iliopoulos<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">\u2022 4th Grade:\u00a0Yayoi Kusama. From Here to Infinity\u00a0by S. Suzuki<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">\u2022 5th Grade:\u00a0Vincent van Gogh\u00a0by P. Geis, translation by V. Iliopoulos<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">\u2022 6th Grade:\u00a0Young Frank, Architect\u00a0by F. Viva, translation by Ch. Boulotis<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\" data-darkreader-inline-color=\"\">\u2022\u00a0Leonardo da Vinci, by P.
